Samsung Will Bring Affordable A-Series Foldable Smartphones

 

Samsung will bring out the next-generation Galaxy G Fold and Galaxy G Flip in the second half of this year. They will also bring an affordable foldable phone in the Galaxy A series. They will also unveil an affordable phone to consolidate and secure the exclusive position in the foldable smartphone segment. However, the smartphone is not coming to the market suddenly. The concerned people said that the affordable foldable phone will be available in 2024 or 2025.

Samsung has dominated the foldable smartphone segment from the beginning. In the first quarter of this year, global foldable phones have sold 22 lakh 20 thousand units. Samsung's market share was 74 percent. This time the South Korean-based technology giant is going to bring a foldable phone in the affordable Galaxy A series.

The Clamshell phone was the most popular foldable smartphone for sale in the January-March quarter. Its market share in total foldable phones was 60 percent. Among them, Samsung's Galaxy G Flip 3 foldable phone had a market share of 51 percent. The second most popular foldable smartphone for the third quarter in a row was the Galaxy G Fold 3.

Demand for foldable smartphones has been steadily rising in recent years. According to a report by Disney Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), sales of foldable smartphones rose 561 percent to 2.2 million units in the first quarter.
